Hi, I’m Mu-Yin, and I go by my nickname Molly. I’m an inspirational speaker, entrepreneur, composer, concert pianist, and writer. A first-generation Taiwanese immigrant, my rich life experiences across three continents and multiple careers give me unique perspectives on mental health, diversity, creativity, and entrepreneurship, enabling me to bridge the gaps between parents and children, teachers and students, employers and employees, and people of different cultures and diversity.
Having navigated my own journey through severe depression, I now use my experiences to inspire others. Unlike traditional bored-to-tears keynotes, my engaging and entertaining “keynote concerts” blend live music with storytelling and takeaways to connect with the audience emotionally, empowering them to take control of their mental well-being. My talks offer simple and practical tools to inspire hope, resilience, and positive culture.
As an entrepreneur and handmade jewelry artist, my work has been featured on Amazon, Etsy, Inc.com, Bankrate.com, Creative Hives, and various national magazines. My handmade jewelry has been sold to over 90000 people in 47 countries. I am the founder of Full-Time Etsy Crafters Team and have given workshops on entrepreneurship and jewelry making.
I have performed in Taiwan, the UK, the US, and the Netherlands as a solo and chamber musician. In recent years, I also started composing and producing for TV and films, specializing in solo piano and orchestral music.
I am an award-winning writer in Taiwan and am currently working on my memoir in English on how I overcame chronic depression through the power of music.
I now reside in Portland, Oregon.
